Sorry if there is an existing thread that provides details on this, but I couldnt find one.

Has anyone read Alan Rogerson's "Millions Now Living" book from 1969?

    Any thoughts on it?

I am looking for some books that might be considered "non-biased" or straight forward history......

I dont mind the WT bashing books but I want to have some outside references to back up my research which will be shared appropriately when the time is right!

Usually I get "well, have you read the proclaimers book?"

My response is "that is as biased and whitewashed as Mein Kampf was!"

The problem is that Alan was a Witness , I think he got himself a Uni. education ,and then woke up.

It is well written, not at all strident, and gives a good insight in to the workings of the Cult, but Witnesses will say he is an apostate, so it may not suit your purpose.

the funny thing is I read it in the 1970's and did not wake up. I think it steers away from doctrine mostly, from memory.

Great little book, probably the first "apostate" book I ever read, my local library stocked it, wonder what happened to him?
