Here is a fugue I composed and perform titled the Watchtower Fugue.

A fugue is a theme chasing itself around. In this fugue, the themes are monothematic and don't really make

any sense. The theme is constantly being revised and placed awkwardly.

But--if one doesn't really analyze deeply it all sounds perfectly logical and even acceptable to the ears!

Just before the theme begins there is mysterious sort of introductory limbo representing a person's mind before

    they encounter Watchtower teachings.

Anyway....it is my way of representing musically the Watchtower theology which is entirely superficial if you don't investigate thoroghly.

    Enjoy!

For some reason, I can't edit in the Topic title, alas!

Further, I can't make the hyperlink "active".

Very Lovely as long as it is not critiqued.

    Terry,

You are so on the money with this one. When you start listening it is so easy to drop into just an acceptance of the music without any critical thinking. It seems pleasant and melodic. When you stop and listen again having read the explaination you think why didn't I notice that the first time around. So apposite.

Brilliant. What a shame the title is missing.

I started noticing when listening to music that we hear what we expect to hear and accept it without question.

But, composers with a wry sense of humor such as Prokofiev can really tweek your mind with their sudden mordent foray into the alternate dimension of chromatic note-bending.

I thought it would be mischief to choose a classical approach and then put an acoustic bass and drumkit under it!

    That's the rascal in me.

    Thanks.
