Does your K Hall post the Dress & Grooming 4 Bethel Visitors info?

Our CO has made sure that the local BOE permanently posts the "Dress & Grooming 4 Bethel Visitors" flyer inside the K Hall.

I've checked out 3 other local halls and they have it posted too.

    Does yours?

This is a REALLY stupid marketing idea from the GB, IMO. It totally advertises to any newcomers just how controlling this cult can be.

BTW, if you haven't seen it, here's a link:

Now, here's what I was wondering about whilst battling boredom at the last meeting. If someone who's good at Photoshop could make a slightly altered one of these babies, it could be a hoot to slip in a risque/apostate version and see how long it takes for someone to notice.

For the slogan T-Shirt, have something like "jehovahs-witness.net".

Replace the so-called "plunging neckline" with something a bit more PG-13 if not R rated. Perhaps one of the ladies could be extra cold and have a serious case of high-beams.

    Any other ideas?

The "short skirt" definitely needs to be made short. That one in the picture is not short at all.

Maybe add something really over-the-top, like blue dress are not acceptable, because of the mental connection one can do to smurfs

And the elders have had a letter/email to say they can use it to show what is appropriate dress in the KH too!

And look at that poor kid on the front! What freaking idiot thought that was a good idea! I mean her mother looks pretty good to me in her gear but that poor girl is dressed like no teenager should!

Perhaps tweak the baggie pants so they are riding just below rump level thus exposing boxers with some JW-inappropriate logo.

I was thinking that they want it posted for more than just Bethel visit purposes only. Face it, only a few people from each congregation actually visit Bethel, so why the need to keep this posted all the time and for all to see? Because they want to make sure that the message of avoiding 'worldly' clothing is a constant reminder to them.

Look at the descriptions of these clothes: sloppy, baggy, untucked, undignified, faded, bare, plunging, short skirt, high slit. Compare that to the actual photos shown. The styles shown are not extreme examples; they're normal everyday attire for the masses in the casual world we live in today.

I don't have a problem with expecting a certain level of appropriate attire at WT buildings...though it is true that their expectations are unrealistic. However, the extent to which they went to criticize normal casual wear and to make sure this is constantly in view of all the dubs seems to be more than just counseling how to dress at Bethel but to counsel on how JWs should not dress anytime. Another control factor and another piece of evidence to identify the WTS/JWs as a cult.

I just discovered that Aussie Oz did some Photoshopping on the other thread. I think I'll PM him.

Thanks freddo & teel for your comments.
