I would kidnap my Mom, all my JW relatives and have them delivered to the nearest clinic. I would ask that they be restrained and put in the clinic for 3-6 months.

I would ask that any and all methods of deprogramming be used.

Especially if it were *free*. They all love free stuff that Satan's vast government provides. Oddly enough.

I have a better and cheaper solution. Let the experts who are old timers be the ones to nurture them back to health. Choose one of almost 30 at www.watchtowerworld.org and click on "Gallery." They will be more than happy to help you.

If your needs involve mental health or physical health issues, and you need a professional to help or direct you, here is an excellent source:

I know someone who recently told me what she is thinking about going to therapy after being raised in the WTS.

I know there are therapist who specialize in working with exJWs but I do not know of any. Does anyone know of a therapist in the Dallas area?

No, I'm good don't need any shrink taking thoughts out of my head. I can do that myself with time and research.

I've been out since 83. But when I left I had to find some kind of help for myself.

    First books,

reading about people who escaped the tower. The first book I turned to was "30 years a Watchtower

Slave" and thru buying that I got in touch with others. "Comments from the friends" which

at the time published a monthly newsletter.

But that was just literature to confirm my suspicions that the tower was full of shxt.

There was still the matter of reprograming myself.

I had lots of stinking thinking after being traped in the tower for 31 years.

Sylva mind control was popular at the time and I got some books and tapes on it, Sylvia mind control

and I started making tapes, and hypnotizing myself, putting good thoughts in to replace the

    funky wactower thoughts.

Good thoughts about health, money, education, life, God.

Also, I was able to sensor and guard myself by choosing the programing, thoughts.

Also, in answer to your question if therapy was free would you do it. I would have to say yes, because

    I took free therapy.

I went to AA for 7 years, even though I was no more of an alcoholic than the garden variety JW.

7 years of AA and Silva mind control and I got a whole new thought process.

And it was very good, Nirvana, Utopia, happiness, contentment.

But nothing last forever. They say what the river gives, the river takes away.

Or What AA gives AA takes a way.

The time comes when you start feeling so good, you forget how you started feeling so

good and you stop maintaining and doing the work to feel good, and just enjoy yourself.

Then one day you look up and your lost again.

So you have to reinvent yourself and rebuild your engine.

When the folks at AA would say, Hello I'm Jim, I'm a recovering alcoholic, I would say to myself.

Hello I am Rob, I'm a recovering JW.

When the folks at AA would say they would live one day at a time withoug a drink.

I would say I would live one day at a time without visiting a kingdumb hall.

AA and Sylva worked for me this was back in the 80's. No internet. It was before Ray Franz wrote his

    first book. Not many resources.

    Today is the information age.

We are all brain washed, the question is when you jump out of the pan into the fire what are you

    going to be next?

If your an American, most likely you will become a television watching consumer, scurrying to

work so you can afford what ever the boob tube tells you you need to buy. But you probably

wont be able to afford what the tv tells you to buy, Because we exported all the jobs.

So your next therapy session will be

how to get out of debt and live simply.

But thats life, burning daylight and entertaining ourselves.

I think the best thing a person can do is educate yourself, learn to use critical thinking skills, because that is what got you into this mess in the first place. If you don't you might just be accepting one form of programing for another, it could be like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

Psychotherapy could be good, if it envolves just getting to know what makes you tick and to I dentify what some of your complexes are and how to get them under some type of control so they don't keep fucking up your life, but "Deprogramming Psychotherapy" I would stay away from it. To me it sounds too much like letting someone do reprogramming or another form of brainwashing and replacing it with some other form of programming.

BTW I never heard of "Deprogramming Psychotherapy" does it exist where did you hear of it? Is it in any psychology books? And why is it free? Sounds like another cult to me.

I've been wondering this myself. Anybody know?
