    Maxwell SV

Ansoft offers the Maxwell SV to help engineering students visualize electromagnetic fields and broaden their understanding of electromagnetic physics. The Maxwell SV is a subset of Ansoft's commercially distributed Maxwell. Students can perform AC/DC electromagnetic and electrostatic-field simulation without limitation.

This freely distributed software is intended for electrical engineering students studying topics relating to the design of electromagnetic components, such as sensors, actuators, motors, and transformers.

    Cool

Can you imagine what you would see if you could see different bands of the EM spectrum? If you could see how it interacts with itself and matter?

Licking toads just doesn't cut it,....

I would like to visualize an RF field at 13.173 mHz coming from a horizontal dipole. I am particularly interested in the component with a high takeoff angle and how it interacts with the F layer of the ionisphere during solar maximum.

Isn't that what has been called the Heaviside layer?

It allows for long distance reception of radio at night.

If you learn how to use Maxwell, then you can apply for jobs as a Magnetics Designer!

It is used as a design tool.
