Here is an image that gives you an idea of how big the ark is supposed to have been:

2~7 of every kind of animal on the earth was supposed to fit in this.
Think about it. That means that 1/2 of every kind of animal on the earth should fit in a 747 jet airliner. Yet a 747 jet seats 430 ~ 500 human passengers.
