Anyone watch that show?
It starts back to the beginning as to how the Cylon race was created, enslaved, rebelled and then eventual war.

You know Yizuman, I only liked the original one with Lorne Green.
Everything was new, with plenty of hot chicks that you knew were not Cylons disguised as humans.
Favorite line was when they reached Earth and thought LA had a protective screen or barrier (smog) over the city.
It has promise. The BSG series ran hot and cold. Could be brilliant at times, and then convoluted. Caprica has some good things going for it. I like how it has a period feel to it. The Taurons seem to be something like Sicilians from the old country. The whole idea of a person's conciousness and soul being captured as data and transferred has fascinating possibilities. Who and what the created cylons are is also fascinating, and why they would go to war with humans. All I can say, is I hope the writers do not get stupid.
I know a few people who LOVE that show.
I'm trying to like it... but it contains far too much of a "social stress" aspect for my taste. I watch all of these characters who live a life in luxurious houses piss it all away over stupid social decisions specifically design to disrupt the lives of other people... for no reason other than to spite. (A bunch of spoiled brats who have NO idea how good they have it compared to other people.)
Trying to watch Caprica is like trying to watch a show on the Lifetime channel.
Sorry Yiz... I don't mean to spoil your thread. I just needed to vent.
I take my SciFi very seriously.

Too bad they shovel SyFy at us instead.
Yeah, owned by none other than NBC and they're notoriously known to be very hostile towards Sci Fi. Take Star Trek for example. They axed Star Trek after the 3rd season. Then Paramount buys the rights to it, runs the reruns and then turned around to make a multi-billion dollar franchise when Star Trek returned as The Motion Picture, then Wrath of Kahn and others. Then Star Trek: The Next Generation, DS9 and others.
NBC got stupid and threw away the potentiality of making a buttload of money by selling off the rights to another media company who made all the money instead of NBC who thought Star Trek was a bust.
Guess who's the idiot now, huh?

I watched the first couple of episodes.... got bored with it. The original Battlestar: Galactica was hokey but good.
I love Science Fiction, used to read it all the time..not so much time for that now.
And what the hell is this Scy Fy crap? Some marketing idiot messes about to justify their job I guess.
