OK, now I have lost the thread - but, last week Leolaia put up a picture of C.T.Russell "associate" Rose Ball and an Australian car. The question was what year (and even what make if possible) the car was to help date the picture.
A moderator on my Ferrari board came through with this:
Standard Motor Company '34-'36 "Ten". So, much later than what I would have guessed. If he is right, (and he has a great reputation for these vintage cars) - then that picture must be at least the late 30s from the condition of the car. Maybe that will be of some help to whoever is reasearching this. PS - Packard, not Pierce Arrow, was the American manufacturer famous in the 1920s for steel disk wheels like shown in that picture...
