sorry. i hit the wrong button. did anyone else ever find that when a group of witnesses got together, with or without alcohol? could be a few people or a whole congregation.

You could never call it a party. Parties are worldly. I had a friend whose mom would always correct you if you said party. It's called a gathering. Sigh.

Loaded Language

at times i would tell people that i worked with i had to go to a 'get together' or a 'gathering'. they always looked at me weird. i hated saying that term. just like i hated saying 'we dont call it a church, it is a kingdom hall'.

Our "It's Not A Christmas Turkey Dinner" Turkey Dinner was called "Gift Exchange Turkey Dinner". Whatever!
We did actually call "Thanksgiving" .... "Thanksgiving".
