Witness Friends LOOOOOVE you....when your putting in the Witnessing/Meeting hours. When you agree like a Robot to everything the Watchtower says.....{Read...underline.....give comment.....repeat} Like Prostitutes who adore you when your "paying" ...if the money stops flowing they are GONE! People you've known for 15 years....you took them to hospital....lent them money.....grieved with them....GONE. And all I said was "I don't agree with the blood fractions doctrine!!" Like Whores they only call around when they can COUNT TIME!!!! P.S - I'm not even disfellowshiped!

You are absolutely correct. Witness friendship is eternally conditional. Conditioned upon your full and unwavering acceptance of the ideas/opinions/doctrines forwarded by the 'organization'.

It is painful. Like surgery to remove diseased organs, it takes time to realize that things will never be the same again. Still, the surgery must be done, the pain endured before we can get on with life void of that we took for granted.

Try being an elder.......helping everyone, going out in the middle of the night, talk after talk after convention part, crying with people, helping your fellow elders keep their marriages together.........and even more importantly: spending YEARS of you life being all the elders kids go to 'bro'.....not their dads............YOU.

There may be an exception that proves the rule, an active witness has invited my wife and I to have a meal with her and her family,she is a single mum, on Thursday night. (Has she forgotten that is supposed to be her study night ? Tee Hee)

We shall see afterward if we remain friends when she realises that we have left The Lie forever.

I think it could be that she genuinely misses us, that she wants us to remain friends, we were close neighbours and friends for years.

On the other hand,last night we were out for a meal and met some of our old congo. who I had to almost force to speak to me, they seemed strained and uncomfortable, just being civil out of necessity, they were conditional friends for sure.
