Do Publisher records move from country to country?

I was born, baptized, appointed MS and pioneer, and DFd in Mexico. Then I moved to the US and started attending meetings here. I submitted a letter for reinstatement and it was denied. Its been 13 years since that.

Do you know who has my records now? Where is my publisher card? If I want to sue the WT where should I sue? Here or in Mexico?

Just flush your money down the toilet. It will be faster and just as effective.

They'll only follow if you let them. Chances are if you move across the country and attend a new congo, they'll follow you there, when you tell tjhe new elders whee you are from. You could start over, but that may backfire, like it did to a guy I knew. Cheated on his wife, was DF'd and divorced. He moved across country and started all over. Ten years later he was a Presiding Overseer with a new wife, until one day during one of those special meetings somewhere, he bumped into one of the elders of his old congo and had him DF'd. All hell broke loose.

I dont really want to sue. I was just wondering that if I wanted to sue, lets say because I was abused as a child, should I sue the WT here in the US or in Mexico? Since I was a child in Mexico but now I live in the US.

The reason I ask is this: I have been thinking that the baptism of minors is abuse. Since they are not of legal age to take such a big decision and the outcome can be catastrophic if they are Dfd and ostracized. Well what happens if you were coerced, and intimidated to get baptized? I feel I was intimidated and got baptized out of fear of Armageddon and I believed their many lies regarding the fact that we were in the last days.

So if it was possible to sue, or just to even get my baptism annulled, where should I do it? Just wondering who has jurisdiction over that matter?

Are my publisher records in the US? I didnt requested them, but attended meetings for a year, then I asked to be reinstated and the elders here wrote to Mexico..

Do you think they requested the card when they sent the letter? OR the Mexican Cong keeps the card until the person is reinstated then the new cong requests it? Do cong send the cards of Dfd guys who attend the meetings in a different cong?

Based on what you've mentioned, the Mexican congregation should still have your cards and, more importantly, the S-77 form documenting your DFed status.

If traveling to meet with the elders in the congregation that DFed you is a hardship, the elders in the new congregation can send correspondence to the DFing congregation letting them know how well and how long you've been groveling in the back of the K Hall. If the old boys in Mexico buy it, they will approve your reinstatement and it will be possibly be announced in both K Halls if anyone in Mexico still remembers who you are. Only after you've been reinstated will they send your cards to the new congregation.

For extra Theocratic Brownie points make sure to refer to the Disfellowshiping "Arrangement".

Files can be sent to other countries when an active publisher moves. In the files I received, there was a letter from an Australian congregation to an India congregation sending over a publishers file.

It is hard to tell where your file is likely to be since when you moved you were not an active publisher. Since you attended meeting in the US the congregation may have requested the file.

Regarding suing over baptism or disfellowshipping, it is very difficult to win. The courts steer clear of religous matters. I tried to get my baptism annulled on the basis of being a minor but did not succeed. Because you were an MS they will probably say that when you were not a minor you showed you were a willing part of the JW organization.

Paul: Good point, If I got to be MS then I was fully participant although I was still under their spell. I am thinking for future generations also. If a big legal battle could demonstrate that baptism of minors is abuse then it could be probably stopped dont you think?

Interesting. This means that they control you no matter where you are.
