I was shopping the other day and heard my name called. It's the elder that visited us last year, the one who was very concerned that we celebrated birthdays.
With a guilty expression on his face, he apologised for not having had time to see us then told me "we miss you, when are you coming back?". I said nothing.
I can't stand the phrase "we miss you" - what's wrong with these people? Last time I checked, everyone at the Kingdom Hall had legs, a car, a phone, cellphone and many had access to the internet. Yet, with all these technological devices that make it easier to communicate than ever before, it all comes down to the fact that they are not genuinely interested in their brothers and sisters.
