I haven't been on here long but from what I have seen it is a pretty tight nit group here. I was wondering out of all the people that have come and gone has there been any that are missed? The most popular, either in a good or bad way.

Dnice: I havent been here for a long time, but i miss Narkissos; he was an expert in biblical texts in their original language and it was allways interesting to read what he had to say (and besides that he was allways polite and helpfull, even to my dumb questions!).
In my short time here, (about half a year) I have noticed that a lot of people post in waves. They'll be very active for a week or two and then seem to disappear for a few weeks or months, then come back.
This place is active enough that there's plenty of good conversation going on while waiting for people to return.
It would be nice if they had a chatroom
pretty new here myself...but everyone seems nice
I'd assume you intend "tight nit" in a positive.
I think many here know each other well.
It's good place
Once upon a time JWD had a chatroom. But it was abused with many posters using it to flame other posters or to break posting guidelines. It became impossible to monitor and Simon pulled the plug.
There have been many people who have come and gone. Sadly some have died, (Jan G, larc, Ian who were some of the earliest posters) among others. Some have simply moved on with thier lives and pop in from time to time. Some come and go as Mad Sweeney said.
I think of many of them often. Some were popular. Some weren't. But I'm sure many are remembered
There were many thoughtful posters on here who have gone, or only pop in once in while.
Some of them have given such wonderful answers, so elegently thought out and written, that I have a large file on my 'pooter called Dubstuff that contains them all.
Jeremy c, Willyloman, the guy from Vermont come to mind, but there are many more.
The search facility on here will bring up many of these wonderful posts on whatever interests you.
