The title is 'Defiance'. I think these brave jewish men and women defined the word. After the war they never sought recognition. It is this determined spirit among these people that is so irresistable, so hard to describe. The only word I can find is GRIT. The grittiest of GRIT.

Here is a youtube preview if you haven't seen it. And if you haven't seen it - see it!

That movie was fantastic, I thought it was raw, real. Definitely moved me and hard to keep my eyes from moving from the screen, I think I blinked a little bit. Leiv Schriber was great too.

This was a good movie. I had no idea that any of the jews had fought back before seeing this movie.

Thanks, I definitely have to see this.

I heard stories of some Jewish guerillas fighing back in WW2, but sadly, most Jews just let things happen, because they believed that it would eventually all work out. They didn't believe the Nazi were going to exterminate them. Once they figured it out, they were already in the concentration camps.

Don't forget, in those days, there wasn't much in a way of fast communication, and most was considered rumors, not to be believed. The Nazi gradually took everything away from them. Did any of you see Schindler's list?

I also thought Defiance was a fantastic movie. I have watched it twice and enjoyed it very much each time. To me the movie says a lot about people's resilience and ingenuity in the face of horrendous tragedy and hardship.

    I highly recommend seeing it.
