An apostate is one who renounces a religious faith, it is only of concern if you have known and renounced the faith in Christ that the N.T talks about, in the first place you would need to be in possesion of such faith, to be able to renounce it.
NO JEHOVAH'S WITNESS HAS THE FAITH IN CHRIST THAT THE New Testament talks of.
So, any who have renounced their faith in, and connection to the JW/WT system of belief, are free to take up a faith in Christ.
If they eventually renounce that, then they will be rejected by Him, up until that point they have nothing to fear.

I was told when I asked what the unforgivable sin was (so that I could do it so they would leave me alone) that only the anointed could commit it.

The GB have never stated exactly what the "unforgivable sin" is.
They hint at it and beat around the bush, but you will never pin them down.
I remember back in the 80's their was a one page article intitled "what is the unforgivable sin?".
Another sister and I couldn't figure out what the answer was, so we went to an elder and asked him, showing him the artcle.
he said"the answer is in that article, you need to read it".
The other sister and I explained to him that we had both read the articel several times but could not understand what it was and could he please point it out to us.
He just blew us off saying "well the answer is in there" and walked away.
Thats when i knew for a fact that (a) HE had NOT read that article, and (b) he didn't know the answer either.

By the way, the true apostates are the Watchtower guys and their JWs. Look at their false prophesies of 1914 and 1975. You can metion more others.

The Only unforgiveable sin according to the bible is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit:
this happened when Jesus cures a demon-possesed man. The Pharasees attribute this to Beelzebub, Satan the Devil.
Matthew 12:22:

Just being apostate is not "the unforgivable sin". It is possible for apostates to sincerely repent and go back to being active believing witlesses, provided they are willing to totally put their brains on hold or they are too lazy to do their own thinking. The unforgivable sin is to realize that the whole thing is a scam, and then decide to do your own thinking without any excuses. Once you do that, you are beyond their reach and have virtually no chance of ever going back to being a believing witless.
In fact, after one has been out 5 years, you have about 1/20 of the chance of ever going back to being a believing witless than a dieter that loses significant weight has of keeping that weight off more than 5 years.
