To Everything Turn, Turn, Turn...... A Generation Comes and a Generation Goes:
First, it was God's promise that some of the generation of people who witnessed the events of 1914 would still be alive when the Great Tribulation starts.
It was speculated that a generation could be 40 years, 70 years, 80 years, 100 years, or even possibly 120 years long.
Then, as the years went by, year after year after year passed by... no end in sight.
Finally in the 1980's and 90's, it was announced that the generation would include all of those people who were born in 1914. That bought them another few years.
For decades, each and every issue of Awake! magazine featured this declaration at the beginning:
"This magazine builds confidence in the Creator's promise of a peaceful and secure new world before the generation that saw the events of 1914 passes away."
However, when 1995 rolled around (81 years from 1914), "new light" flashed forth! The generation of 1914 was now revealed to be any wicked people alive at any point since 1914.
So, Jesus Christ's words "This generation will by no means pass away until all these things take place" were turned into "There will always be wicked people on earth, until I come to destroy them at Armageddon."
There was no more time table. No way to calculate the time of the end. No more speculation based on this generation. Their original prophecy was declared to be mistaken or "old light." They confessed that they had the wrong understanding before 1995.
In 2008, "new light" flashes forth one more time!
In 2008 God revealed to the Faithful and Discreet Slave that "this generation" is made up of all of the Anointed Christians who have lived since 1914. So, there have to be some Anointed Ones still living when the Great Tribulation begins. They confessed that they had the wrong understanding before 2008.
But, the light gets brighter and brighter! Here and now, in 2010, the holy spirit has finally cleared up all of the confusion about this generation of 1914!
Now, the actual, honest-to-God truth is revealed! We finally know 100% for sure what Jesus meant when He said "This generation will not pass away until all these things occur"!
What Jesus actually meant was that there would be one generation of Anointed Christians who witnessed the signs and events of 1914, and then they would all eventually die off. However, before they all die off, their lives will overlap for a while with the lives of a SECOND generation of younger Anointed Christians. This SECOND generation is the one that "will not pass away" until the Great Tribulation begins.
But, they are not really two generations, but they are really all ONE generation.
Wasn't that clear and simple. Aren't you thankful for the Faithful Slave Class dispensing this food at the proper time?
