How many here pick mushrooms and can ID some helpful medicinal types of fungi?

Any here familiar with Turkey Tail(a poly spore) and its medicinal value? It is a strong booster of the immune system and very easy to ID and safe for a novice to find and use because all poly spores are harmless. Good for fighting cancer.

I went to a mushroom fair sunday, and my wife had about three servings of mushrooms and I had one, we both felt a little light headed and I was thinking maybe someone slipped in a few magic mushrooms in the batch.
The group meets every so often for hikes and mushroom picking from november to april and I'm thinking of joining.
There is something so fasinating about fungi and lichen, since I go for hikes in the (semi)deep woods all the time and find so many different types of fungi, I think it's time to learn about them to reap the lost benifits of not knowing that much. Who knows maybe a new hobbie.
