I find it hard to believe that every one of them used their 'free will' in a way meriting eternal destruction.
Prove to me they have free will when supposedly 100% of them were bad.
If they had no choice as to their 'badness', then where is their messiah?
Why do we get one and they don't?
Is there a possibility that they weren't hybrid half angel /half man?
Perhaps they were Predestined to spend eternity in Hell, just like billions of other people. (Feel free to define 'Hell' however you'd like.)

They would have had free will but Genesis says that the earth was ruined in the sight of God and that the heart of man was bad from his youth up.

(truthseeker)...The point of contention is the dubious morality of the SB (Supreme Being) as you described.
The fact that the account relates the alleged opinion of the SB does not make this opinion either correct or moral.
Elsewhere others have considered this indiscriminate brutalization of life as described in the account about the flood to be an insane abuse of power, and not particularly effective in reasoning with the creation as regards moral behavior.
It is as if Jehovah were a drunken abusive father who gave everyone in the family a massive drunken beating.
So I'm supposed to love a creature who would behave in this manner?
I can't even begin to think of an excuse for genocide.
