In the latest KM I read something about the latest Awake topic: 'what does God think of women pastors' or something like that. I asked for the latest Awake, but it wasn't available yet (Dutch) in our hall.

Who has seen this Awake and want to upload it for us all? I'm pretty sure they will come up with the words of Paul, but say nothing about what he really meant when he said 'woman should be quiete'. They just looove to ignore the history about Greek woman in that period. And I'm pretty sure they don't mention all the women in the bible, such as Phebe, who was a servant.

I'm curious! For the first time in months I'm curious about an Awake article... ;-)

I can see it now even before reading it.

Possible title of the Awake! article: "Can Women Be Shepherds of God's Flock?"

The article itself will consist of a one word sentence followed by lots of Pauline quotes:

    "No".

Sorry, girls, end of story. Go back to the kitchen and when you've finished scrubbing the floor, get outin the door-to-door ministry. What a life!

And no women in the GB, although there are a lot of women part of the 'Slave Class'... What is up with that?

Lady Viola, can you expound on what Paul meant about women being quiet? What is the history of that statement?

This seems to me to be so hypocritical.

Jehovah has seen fit to select women to serve as part of the "faithful and discreet slave class" however he doesn't allow them to do anything in their ruling position. Maybe up in heaven the women are all cleaning, cooking, and shopping.

The bible proves woman are evil. Eve was the reason of mans downfall, Delilah tricked Samson, we all know the list. Now relax I don't agree with it, but I never felt right hearing from the platform how sisters should know there place in the Hall. One day some bright Sister will file a lawsuit of Discrimination if they haven't allready.
