On another post a number of days ago it was rumoured that the Society were going to announce or had already intimated that due to financial constraints there was to be an immediate stop to all Kingdom Hall construction worldwide. If this is true this would be BIG NEWS!! Can anyone on here, especially JW insiders shed any further light on this matter or offer some sort of evidence that this is/is not so

The halt is on any Branch building project, not Kingdom Hall.
In fact an accelerated increase in the building of Kingdom Hall's has been effected.
If you click on posts from my profile you will find a more detailed discussion on the proposals, including the motive that MAY be underlining this change in policy.

I have no insight information but in Germany the KH are usually built and paid by the local congregations and then donated to the Society. Would not be a good thing to stop when having financial problems.
I put up the original post, but I'm afraid I've had no further info. You'll be the first to kow if I do.

It might have to do with their stocks tanking in the market.
