I'm sorry time for a moan. Cyprus is having a mini heat wave. Over the past week the goverment has issued a health warning to keep out of the sun and not to do any strenuous work.

The humidity factor has been 70-80 % and the wind speed only 6km. At night you can see the mositure hanging in the air! On saturday the tempreture is forecast to be 41!

Go outside and the heat is physical! Its like swimming through a wall of intense heat or swimming around in a recently boiled kettle!

It wasn't like this last year, it got to Mid August before it got unbearable last year. Anyway i'm waking up tired and going to bed tired and yes i do have AC.

Anyway the whole of CY is about to close down for August anyway... can't wait!

I live in the Arizonan desert, so I understand completely what you mean. I don't know what 41 C. is in Ferenheit, but I'm guessing that it's pretty high up there. We had 110 F. with a lot of humidity recently. No one works or plays outdoors in the heat here, except the major infrustructure workers. Drink lots of ice water.

I sympathize with you. I live in southwest Arizona. It's 10:30 PM and 96 degrees. Typical for this time of year. We just ended a mini heat wave. Highs near 115 and overnight temps around 88. Now we've got some rain coming tomorrow and Thursday.

Heat and humidity! The best combination!

Yeah it's been hot here too. In the low 100's, around 105 for a while now. It just cooled down to the low 80's but they say we're gonna get hit by more heat in August. I'm not looking forward to it but at least the humidity has been low.

I just watched a German news report which showed that Moscow is not only suffering from 40C/100F heatwaves, but they have forest fires that are causing very bad pollution so the residents are being told to keep their doors and windows shut!

I live in Australia so I can relate to the heatwave conditions. We’ll be suffering 6 months from now.

I certainly feel for you. Here in Perth in summer we frequently get stretches of 45 degree days in summer (113 degrees farenheit). Ours though usually is more of a dry heat. I usually have cool showers and then lie in front of the fan while I'm still wet to keep cool.

I certainly would feel sorry for anyone who has to work outside.
