It seems that the biggest switch is from having a religious affiliation to having none.

I think that is very true, there is a big rejection of religion going on in the U.K, and it is worrying the Churches.
They are trying to fight back by getting more faith schools etc, funded by the tax-payers most of whom do not support religion !
