Edmonton is covered in smoke

  Don't know if this is the right spot for this or not; its not political or anything. But we are covered in smoke, here in Edmonton. The smoke from all the BC fires has drifted over to Alberta. Its looks like a thick fog, and the smell of smoke is going into everything. There's a health warning issued - mostly for people with asthma or breathing problems, which I don't have any and neither do my kids, but I am starting to get a headache from all the smoke. I can only imagine how much worse it is for people closer to the fires.

  Any firefighters out there? Any tips, or do we just wait it out?

  It's all my fault... I live in BC.

  We have been having a heat wave for the past two months. People are not supposed to smoke on the walking trails, there are signs posted all over. No open fires, etc.

  Maybe the rain will start soon.

  I send positive vibes your way.

  Estee - We're just getting the smoke after-effects. It must be awful in BC. I hope the rain will start soon for you guys, too, and put out those fires! Take care of yourself, and thanks for the vibes :)

  Tammy - I'm in BC too and the smoke was bad here last week. A couple of days we were told to stay indoors and not to do any exercise outside. Major fire bans. It rained today so that should help. I hope it clears up for you! Smoke headaches are not fun.

  You could phone the fire hall and perhaps a nice fireman will deliver some Advil for you and give you tips on how to deal with smoke!
