Hey I saw a new one, MAO'S LAST DANCER. It's an independent film from Australia.
A boy in China is selected to become a ballet dancer. It is such an honor to serve Chairman Mao and the Chinese government. Later as his dancing takes him to the USA, he sees that all he was told about people outside of China isn't true.It really shows how people can grow up with propaganda and know nothing else. It even shows how they can try to deny real truths right in their face. And when they realize those truths, they still have pressure from all sides to ignore the truth and live with the propaganda for family's sake.
