So, the poor suckers that paid for the Rochester Assembly hall
are being asked to pony up $112,000 for a residence for the D.O.
and others. Add the Paterson expansion to this and what do you
have?
Simple, they're looking out for their own, the guys in control,
the power structure.
Growth in the U.S. is stagnant and contributions aren't good.
There's bad P.R. on the horizon and possible lawsuits. Yet, to
survive, they need to hold on to the guys who maintain their
control of the congregations - C.O.'s, D.O.'s , lawyers, and
others. Sweat shop volunteers are in short supply, a nice office
in a country club atmosphere works so much better.
So, even as calendars get smaller, books are in paperback and
they're the only religion I know of who are too cheap to afford
real subscriptions - they build residences and offices - to hold
to what they've got.
These guys could teach Enron some tricks.
