Islam (at least the Fundy Bin Laden variety) seems like the Billy the Kid of Western Religion. Western Religion (including Judaism and Islam) considers individuals as separate entities irrevocably responsible to Allah or God or Jehovah rather than integral parts of a whole such as Eastern religions Buddhism and Hinduism.
How has that difference affected you as a JW or as a former JW?

I didn't see that I was part of a self-serving social machine until I had evaluated several world viewpoints and ideas.
At least when Stalin coerced, extorted, or killed you, he admitted it was for the good of the system, and not the individual. You knew you were just a god-damned spoke on the wheel.
