African Awake Cutbacks

  I note, in the latest KM (U.S.), that certain cutbacks in
  production of the Awake were announced. Specifically, that
  The Chinese Awake is being changed from semimonthly to
  monthly, the Cibemba Awake is going from monthly to
  QUARTERLY, the Armenian Awake is going from semimonthly
  to monthly, and Zulu Awake is going from semimonthly
  to monthly.

  Now, to be fair, they have added a few minor editions
  in obscure languages. Nevertheless, some of these
  cutbacks are in areas of potential high growth or
  continuing expansion - such as Africa.

  I conclude they are slowly running out of money

  ...while they build nice offices for themselves at Paterson.

  They don't really care much about the people who don't live in less affluent countries. I bet you if you made a graph of how many ppl buy WT publications in North America versus Africa you would see a bit of a spike for the US, and the graph would drop for Africa.

  It's simply a matter of profitability - just like most corporations today, with the current state of the world economy, they are tightening their belts a bit.

  The thing that sucks the most is that I once lived in an area where the Zulu awake was distributed, and I even witnessed (argh) to Zulu people, and they were the nicest, friendliest people you could possibly imagine. Thank God this way fewer of them will be seduced.

  I remember being at another board asking someone specifically about this reduction of editions.

  To me it was stated it was due to lack of sufficient translators.

  Why they do not use an on-line translator for their awakenings and the towering watch, then all would seem more than reasonable translate, then everything fine will be like me would know what they are Gods word. Babelfish is being the best version making sense to one and over.
