Been wondering about the poking Jah in the eye thing

  Some other recent posts have made me think of the teachings of the JW's that claim that when the governments are supposed to squash all religion. This including the holiest of holy, the JW's, and then that will be like poking their Jehovah in the eye. Then this was supposed to incense him (poke him in the eye analogy) and cause him to......refresh my memory, was god supposed to stomp on governments and make the Jw's the big cheese, or what was the teaching on this?? Gawsh, I have only been out 100% for a year and 6 weeks and I cannot remember.

  Have there been any recent discussions on this or new articles that have come out? Thanks!

  It will be a great shock for people to see false religion destroyed. Bible prophecy shows that even some of “the kings of the earth” are going to declare regarding that destruction: “Too bad, too bad, . . . because in one hour your judgment has arrived!” (Rev. 18:9, 10, 16, 19) The Bible’s use of the words “one hour” shows that this event will take place relatively swiftly.

  14 We understand that some time after false religion has been destroyed, there will be an attack on Jehovah’s servants, who have been proclaiming his judgment messages. (Ezek. 38:14-16) When that attack begins, the attackers will have to confront Jehovah, who promises to protect his faithful people.
