I stayed up to watch the opening ceremony, which I enjoyed, but I do anything to avoid the actual sports. According to the ch 7 news, the tv viewers for these games are half than the last games.

The stadiums are practically empty with only spectators and the players. And Australia is certainly doing fine.

The coverage on TV has been good, the BBC are throwing plenty of time at it. I agree the atmosphere doesn't seem to all that. India lost the media battle on the run-up to the games which not ideal. It'll be very different when it comes to Scotland.
