Why can a wife have her Husband with her at a JC -BUT

  As we are all now aware - the new Secret Book of the Elduhs says that a Husband can accompany his wife to a JC.

  "because he is her head"

  I thought a Father or Mother was also the "head " of a child. (Baptised or not) Yet they are not to be present when a child faces their rapist....

  Why is a child expected to come before a JC and face the person who molested them ALONE??

  Surely at such a time the parents SHOULD be present?

  Has the Witchtower ever said why a vulnerable child should NOT have the support of parents at such a time??

  Do they want to hide how inept and illegal their handling of such a situation can be?

  It is because that is how they spread shame, guilt, and fear. You don't have the right to be represented as they shame and guilt you for everything you did, or didn't do--and demand details that are simply unnecessary.

  Any person that rapes another should be in jail so there would be no opportunity for anyone to meet before elders.

  Okay, that statement was a bit naive but I am flabergasted about the requirements of meeting with the elders. This is such a sensitive issue and probably rates second to pedophilia.

  I child should certainly be allowed to have their parents with them otherwise the meeting should definately not take place

  In order to prove that someone has committed a sin and if the accused denies it there is a biblical requirement that there are two witnesses. There is no other stipulated biblical requirements as to who and who can't attend before the elders and it should be by agreement between those affected.

  How can it be maintained that these are rules established by God other than the org feels they have this authority by way of the holy spirit? The individuals have the same right to claim that they do also.
