    nem·e·sis (nm-ss)

n.pl.nem·e·ses (-sz) 1. A source of harm or ruin. 2. Retributive justice in its execution or outcome. 3. An opponent that cannot be beaten or overcome. 4. One that inflicts retribution or vengeance. 5. NemesisGreek Mythology The goddess of retributive justice or vengeance. Many of us here, myself included, would characterize them, the WT, as our #1. Some would even go so far as to call them our #3 though that remains to be seen. My question then is this; What or Who are truely the Nemesis of the WT? And of course I don't mean their BS about Babylon the Great, False Religion, blah blah F'in blah blah, etc. Is apathy their Nemesis? Are we, the ones who've seen through their fog of lies, the Nemesis? Is there even a Nemesis? I ask this because I dearly want there to be a Nemesis for the Watchtower. I don't want to imagine this monstrous organization roaming the earth like a bull in a China shop wreaking havoc everywhere it goes unopposed. Maybe I'm grasping at straws.

I don't think it's particularly useful to frame the situation that way. Check out The Yes Men if you haven't seen it already, it's just one example of a kind of lateral thinking approach rather than dealing with things in the usual way:

    From Wikipedia:

The Yes Men are a culture jamming activist duo consisting of Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno. [ 1 ] Through actions of tactical media, The Yes Men primarily aim to raise awareness about what they consider problematic social issues.

To date, the duo has produced two films:The Yes Men (2003) and The Yes Men Fix the World (2009). [ 1 ] In these films, they impersonate entities that they dislike, a practice that they call "identity correction".

Everyone has their own ahhah moment, and what is ones, doesnt even effect the other. For me I was troubled by the illustration from the watchtower - that of a candy from the gutter, even though washed of the dirt - would still not be apietizing, any sane person would not eat it.

I knew the watchtower had flaws any human org can not claim otherwise, but as a JW I truly believed that these problems were made clean thru the fact that the organization was acting from an honest heart, and with good intent. This exampled clearly spoke to me how that this same washing off or cleaning up of falsehoods is NOT premitted....the ORG does not claim or admitt to any wrong doing. WE ARE HOLY WE ARE 100% RIGHT. Hmmmmm yet that is what "New" light is....a washing a cleansing. I do not find this apietizing!
