i'm looking for the news article from July or August of 2001 that listed the WTS as one of the top 25 companies in NYC. I forget where I read this, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Based on income and holdings, the Watch Tower is indeed up there with the big boys like Donald Trump etc. I do remember something being said about that, however I’m not so sure if it was in a news article or just the observation of a poster. Either way, they are filthy rich and unlike other churches or even Trump; they give zero back to the community.
