CAN SOME ONE EXPLAIN TO ME.... re:elder hides serious sin=no df, no removal?

  that is one part of the new ks 10 that is crazy... i don't have the bbs skills to paste the exact words, but...

  we all have heard that if you are an elder (or ms, i guess) if you have a serious sin, including adultery, come to light "a few years ago, or a number of years ago" you can get a FREE pass and remain an elder basically as long as no one else knows? or you "maintain the respect of the cong" or you years of service show that jehovah has forgiven you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is a load of crap... so what reasoning should we have to confess any of OUR sins to them in a timely manner? why not just hide it, and if it comes to light in a few years...... oh well that is in the past.

  they really, really don't want to lose any current elders, in fact the section on deleting elders gives just about every excuse and suggestion to stop an elder from quitting...

  The same thing I know is applied to regular pioneers.... if two or three years past or if the wrongdoing was far in the past and it appears

  that they are continued " to be bless by Jah "everything is kept private .

  As far as reasons for the "double standard" there are none .. just practical human excuses IMHO

  Self confession is used as indication of true repentance

  They are loosing more and more Elders, MS's, and pioneers so to do away with that would lead to less warm bodies to fill those positions. They are just that warm bodies cause they ain't qualified to lead.

  Poked a pioneer in more than a year,

  Get a pass for that piece of a**.

  Abused a child you liked,

  forgot for awhile that's alright.

  I gave up single sisters years ago,

  said elder bob with glow.

  I am blessed by God as you all know.

  Keep the elder body together

  Because we will all be together forever.

  Wife swapping for years in this congo here,

  but as we aged that kind of fades,

  and we're all ok now after these many years.
