The "You're not important enough to God Argument for Communication" doesn't work

Unless you submit that the power of God is limited and that each communication takes a toll on him.

Anyway, if He is too high and mighty to talk to me, I sure don't want to talk to Him.

Now, a guy like Jesus would be different, I'd love to have a chat, but He did not want to talk to me either.

If God really wanted us to follow a set of rules, worship him in a certain way, and tell us what the meaning of life is he could simply place a small booklet next to the bed of every human on earth one morning outlining his directives.

It would be a true revelation, and humans wouldn't have to debate him/her anymore.

Repeat once every 20 years for the next "generation" (Not a WT generation)

    Done.

This seems to be the fundamental flaw of the concept of religion. If God was willing to let his own Son die for us, and he is smart enough to, by the force of his own will, keep the universe intact, why can't he drop in to say hi, chat with us for awhile? He's supposed to be the master of time, space, and all that is reality. It should logically be easy for such a being to communicate with man simultaneously--even if he had to create a messenger for each person in existence, it should still be easy.

I'm going with a Star Trek possibility. Maybe beings of spectacular power lived here for a time and departed, and the people then thought that said beings were gods of some sort, always watching, always present or soon-to-be present.

When I was little, my Mom said that Jehovah had turned his back on all mankind. Many thoughts went through my mind at that time and still do.

One was that he did this way before I was born so he'd already given up on me before I even had a chance. It didn't seem to be a very loving or forgiving attitude like the ones that Jesus taught about.

It was then that I realized that the choice was mine as to how I was going to live my life and decide what type of person I was going to be. God had nothing to do with it.
