My whole life I have been taught by the Witnesses that humans naturally want to do the wrong things, that we are inherently sinful and that we cannot "direct our own step". I never believed it even though the Media surely likes to make it look that way to make more money on advertising.

I just got done watching this video and I realize that I was right all along.

    Humans are amazing!

    Sab,

You made me cry! Lol! I've always believed that, even as a JW. This reminds me of something I saw a little while ago, on a forum for moms. A mom posted that she had just left her abusive husband, was in her third trimester; she had no money, food, or job and was staying in a relative's house, but couldn't stay there long. Hundreds of moms found info for women's shelters and aid, moms that lived nearby sent over groceries and arranged job interviews for her. They were all strangers, but because she needed help and asked, they gave it. Just because.

I can't imagine a loving God destroying all those good people because they didn't join up with the JW's.

I got teary-eyed too watching that video. I think a lot of people (not just JWs) dwell too much on the dark apsects of humanity. There is so much good in this world! It's a travisty that the Jehovah's Witnesses minimize it so bad.

It is a travesty, but necessary for them. Also a travesty, the WTBTS has the resources to actually help people now, but they don't. Such a waste.

The door-to-door "bug the hell out of people" work is of paramount concern.

    Sigh.
