And you are right that we do have a responsibility to be witnesses for Jesus. That’s why Jesus’ role in God’s purpose is emphasized in our publications. (You may want to use a current book or a magazine to demonstrate this.) But here is something that may be a new thought to you. (Rev. 1:5) . . . Of whom was Jesus “the Faithful Witness”? (John 5:43; 17:6) . . . Jesus set the example that we should imitate, did he not? . . . Why is it so important to get to know both Jesus and his Father? (John 17:3)

What is the problem? IF the CD-ROM says it; IT MUST be right, surely?

    *** rs p. 208 Jehovah’s Witnesses ***

‘Christians are supposed to be witnesses for Jesus, not for Jehovah’

Acts 1:8 Jesus states that "you will become witnesses of me.........to the most distant parts of the earth."

1 Corinthinans 15:1-26 paul tells what the good news is

Galatians 1:8 paul gives a warning about preaching anything different than his directive in 1 Corinthians 15 even if it comes from an angel

Galatians 1:11 Paul states that the good news declared by him as good news is not something human, for niether did he recieve it from man nor was taught it. Except through revelation by Jesus Christ.

On page 208 in the Reasoning book the WTS offers a NEW THOUGHT on the good news, Galatians 1:8 specifically warns against new thoughts or anything different

Jesus was given full authority by the father, to tell the apostles to be witnesses of him, if it was all right with the Father, who sent him

why isn't it alright with the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses

Another thing that stands out in their answer is, "of whom was Jesus the Faithful Witness ?"

This is mind-control to a Dub, who will immediately think "To Jehovah of course", when Jesus has already explained that He is "The Way, The Truth and The Life".

All he says is faithful and true, but is bearing Witness about Himself, not some mythical god called Jehovah invented by Russell and Rutherford.

the reason why their comment is so short is because the bible does not back up their reasoning, they introduce preaching about Jehovah as a new thought. Again, Galatians 1:8 warns about anything different from what paul stated in 1 Corinthians 15: 1-26
