Miracles wouldn't be enough. He could be from some advanced civilization. It could be like "Star Trek" or something.
To prove he is THE GOD, he would have to provide real benefits to all of mankind. He would have to do what GOD should do.

No, the Creator isn't a man who does miracles, so I wouldn't believe him.
But if a man came along who did miracles, he'd probably end up being killed. The Bible, Stranger in a Strange Land, all the good literature has the miraculous protagonist getting killed in the end.
