I found this interesting information in the 2010 Report on International Religious Freedom

«The government has taken steps to integrate non-Catholic religious groups through the Foundation for Pluralism and Coexistence. The foundation provides funds to minority and religious groups to promote religious freedom and dialogue. According to the MOJ, in 2009 the foundation provided funds to 587 projects that represented 527 religious entities (269 Muslims, 239 Protestant, and 19 Jewish). This represented a 7.7 percent increase from 2008.

The foundation's funds, $6.2 million (5 million euro) in 2010, are used for cultural, educational, and social integration programs (not religious activities). The foundation's board of directors includes representatives of most government ministries as well as members of concerned religious groups themselves. In 2009 the board admitted representatives from the Mormon, Buddhist, and Jehovah's Witness communities. Beyond providing support and various seminars, the foundation published studies on religious minorities throughout the country. In addition, the foundation funded the book Discover Islam as a textbook for Muslim students in primary education. The foundation also hosts sports activities and provides language training and youth tutoring classes, all within the local communities. Muslim and Protestant leaders continue to cite the foundation's work as a positive step for integrating non-Catholic religious groups into mainstream society. In 2009, for example, the Foundation organized 18 training seminars in different regions of the country and financed 22 seminars to promote religious freedom.»

Does anyone now whether the JWs accepted its admittance or if they declined participating in the Foundations work?

Since this is obviously part of a bigger master plan to unite all religions and all governments, this is quite possibly another Illuminati agenda... so it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the leaders of the organization are involved somehow... Besides, if there's free money to be had, I'm sure the Society has already deposited their check long before the other denominations even heard of this fund.

It isn't the Illuminati, because it's the lizardmen.

bttt, it would be nice if someone from Spain or real knowledge of JWs could provide an answer :-)

    Hi, everybody!

I entirely agree with InquiryMan. It would be very nice to have some kind of confirmation.

For sure, this is a matter of serious concern as the official teaching of JWs always was never make any kind of agreement with what they identify as "Babylon, The Great" or the "false" religions.

Through some threads in this forum we have been seeing that in recent past the Watchtower is giving steps toward discarding this doctrine.

Here is a link from 2006 which shows that when they see an opportunity to promote their agenda, WTS leaders are not very particular about mingling with marginal organisations under the guise of religious freedom

Judá Morcillo Rivas, Representante de los Testigos de Jehová, was scheduled to participate in a Training course: "Public Policies and Religious Diversity" hosted by the Foundation for Pluralism and Coexistence (Fundación Pluralismo y Convivencia).

Roundtable: "The vision of Religious Denominations," November 26, 2009.

    Will join the debate:

    Faustino López Requena
Representative of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

    Morcillo Juda Rivas
    Representative of the Jehovah's Witnesses

    Jamyang Rinchen Ngagpa
    Representative of the Buddhist

    • What's odd is that the "The course aims to give public employees the knowledge and skills to face the new challenges posed by the design and implementation of public policies for the management of religious diversity." Since when is the Watchtower managing public employees of other faiths?

    • It's not clear that Rivas has actual membership on the Foundation's board. He was scheduled to participate in an interfaith "debate" sponsored by a government entity. There's lists of funding recipients on the website, no WT (yet). But it wouldn't surprise me if they set up an NGO-type front group under some obscure name so they could receive public funding for dubious "education" or "human rights" activities.

For some context on both sides:

Minority religions are asking the state not to fund confessions

Las religiones minoritarias piden al Estado que no financie confesiones

    * * *

Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses … high, high

Mormones y testigos de Jehová... arriba, más arriba

If the Mormons and JWs are now accepted as "deeply rooted" (if not mainstream) Protestant and/or Evangelist religions, what's to stop Scientologists and Moonies from claiming the same recognition and publically funded benefits?
