It happened so quickly. Deep in thought and oblivious to her surrounding,

marilynn strolled onto the railroad tracks. Suddenly she heard A loud rumbling.

She looked up, only to discover that she stood directly in the path of an oncoming

train. Marilynn froze, paralyzed with fear..The train was so close that she could

see the blue eyes and terror-struck face of the conductor. Marilynn never forgot

what happened next. It was as if A giant pushed me from behind" she said.

I went flying off the tracks and fell down on the cinders just beyond, slightly bruised.

Marilynn got up to think her rescuer but no one was in sight! Her conclusion?

My guardian angel saved my life.

Questions: was maralyn a jw? Was she a real person? Do wt guardian angels save people from trains? Or, do they merely push jw door to door salespeople to unsuspecting victims?

Thanks for bringing it here. The thing is, i don't think the wt really is saying that wt guardian angels save people from speeding trains, or the like. What it's really saying is, that it's more sensible that angels guide the wt salespeople to new converts, rather than saving people from trains. That is the reason for the way that they juctuposed the second experience w the first one. The second idea one is supposed to displace/replace the first one in the minds of the readers, the first being standard 'worldly', nonjw view of guardian angels.

Satanus - yes I think that is it. I went to the article and got that impression. When such experiences involve worldlies it is more than likely demons as angels of light. If it is witlesses involved (somebody just prayed before they called) true angels of Jehovah. Are they not blessed people, them Jehobah witnesses?

Santanus, good point. But have you heard the story of two sisters

at the door of A mass murderer and he did not harm them, and

when he was ask why , he said there was A large man standing

behind them,( A angel). That story covered A lot of ground.
