  This morning I sent a link to this site to a longtime friend . She has recently stopped attending meetings and is being harrassed by the Elders to talk to them . Her husband and children are not Witnesses ,but her entire extended LARGE family are JW. Her large family is in close proximity too.

  She is going through a rough patch right now feeling alone and sad . I told her how much I have appreciated the compassion you all have shown me and others . I hope she will find a soft spot to land if she chooses to visit .

  This might be a good time to share what benefits you personally have found by posting here !

  The WT conditions its members to believe that outside there is only lonliness and bitterness and hate. This board demonstrates on a daily basis that while those things do exist at times, the vast majority of people are fulfilled, and happy, and contented most of the time. And when we need support, that support is here.

  I have benefitted by seeing I am not alone .

  It also helps to just talk to other people that understand where I am coming from .

  It is interesting to see the different phases we all go through over time . I have learned so much on here too .

  I told her she would find she IS NOT ALONE .....and that here is always someone on here sharing a similar story .

  In fact the personal stories are what I gravitate towards . I just don't care about the doctrinal issues anymore.
