I don't know who this guy is, but I found his presentation to be interesting. NOTE: Mature subject matter discussed.

One of the points he makes, towards the end of the video, is that Religions change their rules on sex to keep their membership numbers and their money.

I got that book early last year, and yes religions do dirtify sex. The Muslims are the worst, but the Catholic church was right behind. I would put the Jehovah's Witlesses at least on a par with the Muslims.

I'd like to know if there was a single culture that does or did not have sex rules. Just one. A sex rule, this guy seems to say, is a "sex-negative environment."
This video has misrepresentations. He implies that the precolonial Americas had no sex rules. He says the same about precolonial Polynesia. Wrong in both cases. There is no such thing as an arreligious culture before modern times.
There have always been sex rules.....because sex has very significant effects.
I leave it up to others to figure out what those are.

Did they have a sex-negative environment in which guilt is induced over any pleasure outside of marriage (and certain pleasures within marriage) and where confession is mandatory for salvation, such as the WT world? Let's hope not.
PS: The guy is even correct concerning WT and how they've changed their sex rules. Certain things are still on the books, yet they are no longer DF'ing matters, nor do the elders go out of their way to perform witchhunts, etc.

What where Jesus's views on sex? We don't really know since he never made a comment on it, though he did make comments on marriage ( it's for life so don't go into lightly) and on sin outside of marriage ( don't do it and if you have, ask for forgiveness and don't do it again).
Paul was more "vocal" but even then it was only in regards to sex with prostitutes and homosexual sex and that was based on his Judiac upbringning.
Jews had rules about proper sexual conduct, though that never seemed to stop them or their kings from gettting their freak on, LOL !
Pretty much every culture had their sexual rules and taboos, and when guilt didn't work to keep the rules, then punishments were used.
Does this make sex a negative thing?
Hell no, PEOPLE make sex a negative thing, namely people that aren't getting any !
There are reasons for not being sexually promiscuous for example, health reasons and emotional reasons.
There are health reasons for not engaging in certain sexual practises and their are reasons for NOT schlacking the neighbours wife.
There have always been rules and regulations in regard sto sex in every culture because if there weren't things would be far worse.
