Before your "awakening" when you were a fully active elder...were there things presented by the speakers that made you feel uncomfortable or that something was not right?

Absolutely,
There was an elder in our hall, (old school) who would talk about the importance of reaching all those in our territory he would say on stage,
"If we don't reach them, they're all going to die"
Also used to bother me when a speaker would say "if Mother suggests something would we have some better idea?"
There are other things I just can't think of them right now
