I am just curious about people in non christian countries who have occasion to cuss.We in english speaking countries with a christian background frequently use expressions such as "jesus christ" "christ almighty" "christ" "geez" etc.etc. What do people in non christian lands say when making such exclamations ? for eg Muslim countries, Asian countries, mainland china etc. Any thoughts ??

    As I said, just curious.

I don't know why I would be answering this question, since the answer is so obvious...but...

There is only 1 God. So to blaspheme against God would not be to blaspheme against anyone other than "Jesus" "Jehovah" or "The Holy Spirit". Any other god would not count.

If Jesus is the ONLY Way, Truth, and the Life...then any other God would not be the way, or true, or lead to life....

I have heard that Moslems use the term "By the Black Beard of the Prophet" in the same way as Christains use the expression "by Christ" etc.

In Quebec, Canada they say "Tabernac!" which is referring to the literal tabernacle. It basically means the same thing as F***.

Though I've never understood why people use other people's God's as swear words. Does not seem very respectful.
