I'd respond with something like:
*chuckles* thanks for sharing that interesting fact about the human eye in relation to light, facinating really... so why do you think Jehovah's Witnesses doctrine is so erratic? To use your "light" metaphor their doctrine resembles a blinking light which could induce seizures.

How about when the watchtower says, "It's such a blessing that armageddon hasn't come, that way more people will be saved"!!!!!!! No you dumb a$$e$ more people just have to be killed now!
How about when you say, "Looks like a lot of witnesses died for no reason, now that fractions & cell saver etc can be used!" And they say, "Ya but they didn't die of Aids!"
