Assembly Germs

I may jinx myself with this post. But, I haven't been really sick for over a year. And I think it's because I haven't been to the hall that much, and I stopped going to Circuit Assemblies, which have always been huge germ fests.

After the Circuit Assembly this year, I heard of a lot of families, especially with small children, all having the stomach flu. This was all around the same time, some weeks after the assembly. I always seemed to come down with a cold or flu after the assemblies.

I remember someone brought their sick child to an assembly and the poor kid threw up in the auditorium during the program. Some young brothers had to clean it up.

It just seems to be another big advantage for staying home.

Interestingly enough, I have had far fewer cold since we stopped attending Kingdom Halls and assemblies.

This also goes at the Kingdumb Hells, particularly around the REJECT Jesus Party. When you get people that are expected to go despite that they are sick, they are as likely to get others sick. And, they can pick up tuberculosis or something like that from the door and spread that around the A$$embly Hell.

I noticed the same thing, EmptyInside.

The peer pressure to be there at all costs is the problem. It over rules the basic common sense of staying home if you are sick. The last two jobs I had ENCOURAGED you to stay home if you thought you were coming down with something. The cost of having one person stay home is much less than dealing with the epidemic in the workplace because you went to work with the flu, or a cold.

common sense . . severely lacking in the Borg

The environment in any kingdom hall is ripe for epidemics, physical and spiritual.

attended a Circuit Assembly last weekend. Got a nice fever and sore throat to show for it now. Maybe related, maybe not. These things are microscopic. Funny you should mention it though. I haven't been sick for a long time.

    Interesting Topic!

I have to be very honest, I think the answer is yes!

I remember a time that on Sunday Mornings, I would get a very sick stomach which made me feel like staying home, which I did. For the other meetings it wasn't much better, because I felt sort of jittery in my nerves, tired, feverish or at times lonely. But the reason why I was not feeling my best is obvious: No Jehovah's Spirit, feeding us lies, same old-same old information.

When I left the meetings, my stomach was normal and I felt good physically and mentally.

It is interesting though that I have read many times that Jehovah's witnesses have seen Doctors based on their mental aspect and that the number was high among JW's. Seems to reason, Doesn't it?

    Happy Trails T-T

I knew I would jinx myself. I woke up feeling sick today, but that might be because I went to the meeting Sunday.
