And to think, my wife does not me teaching our daughter how to think.

This guy nailed it. It is not the word, phrase, or symbol itself but our reaction to it that is meaningful. I've said this in another thread and I've also said this to my wife. Whenever a witness looks at holiday decorations, celebrations, etc. and react in a negative way about them, what does this say about that person?

Jehovah's Witnesses are very offensive people and they don't even know that they are being offensive. The other day, my wife was talking about this sister in the congregation and when I asked about her husband she reacted, "He is also not in the 'truth.'" To which I said, "You mean, he is not a Jehovah's Witnesses, right?" She was like, "Uh yeah."

But just like this guy who is having to reframe the N word to remove its power over him, I am having to do the same thing with dubs saying that we are not in the 'truth.' This is also why I am training my daughter how to think.

    Awesome, Gary.

I don't know how old your daughter is, so this may be a little heavy for her, but I've enjoyed several of the RSA Animate clips on youtube lately, some of which I hope to share with my kid. Here is the latest one they have on their site. Often, they will have the animated one in a ten minute version as well as an entire hour+ speech by the same speaker on the same subject, so you can go more deeply into a topic if it strikes your interest.
