Matthew 24 answers when will be the time of the end, reading the context will lead us to realized that the time when Son of God will come is unknown to anyone, coming just like a thief,
Now Mat 24:45-51 talks about "a servant" given authority by their master to head all other servants. It says that when the servant is wise and faithful, as giving food at a proper time, then he will be given charge to all possesions of the master. BUT since Jesus said that he will come like a thief, and no one knows when, therefore the "assigned servant" is not faithful but wicked and will be cut off as stated in verses 50-51.
Do you get to think what im thinking??
If the GB teaches that they are that "assigned servant", does that mean that they will be cut off in the end since Jesus will be coming at an hour that this servant is not aware of?
Is there really a faithful and wise servant?

It was an illustration and not a prophecy. The point is for all of us individually to stay on the watch. The account in Luke speaks of how the steward turns bad. If you wanted to look at it as a prophecy the GB really would fit when the account talks about the slave beating his fellow slaves.

There is nothing to link the illustration of the FDS to Bible prophecy. Many
Bible scholars have noted that it was to encourage faithfulness among
Christians especially those who would be leaders among the brothers.
Whereas Matthew (24) records two outcomes, the faithful servant or
evil servant, Luke (l2) mentions a third condition. "But
the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment
will be beaten with few blows." I wonder who the Watchtower
identifies with this servant?

the text IS NOT A PROPHECY but an illustration
Witnesses have long known and is teaching this text as a PROPHECY and to further their claim that there is FDS in their own organization, even putting God in a box and owning Him as if God is their servant that they the the only ones to be saved
so to conclude we need to anser first if IS there really a faithful and discreet slave? before ansering WHO they are
