Videos -> trad. Christian faith = JWs leaders tracts -> trad. Christian faith
The videos don't follow through in presenting the research findings about the
questions they raise and are meant to propagandize against people different than
the video makers as not having any better an understanding.Like JWs leaders' claims of exclusiveness, they claim to be based on the best
evidence and reasoning but I know they're not (NSC didn't intend to give research
findings any farther than Tier's book) and they make me instead imagine doing
hours of research at the library or Internet about various Christian interpreta-
tions (Bible infallibility vs. Bible inerrancy, Abrahm was tested not tempted,
God is always angry at this but can forgive someone about that, God is given as
seen partly not comprehensively, the meaning of the crucifixion, an imperfect
person is counted as perfect by faith and repentant about bad works, etc.). Like
the JWs writers, Tier must have researched these things beforehand but left off
the results to create the 'centric appeasement intended.

http://carm.org/are-we-justified-faith-romans-or-works-jamesI'm not Catholic, but the link refutes one aspect of the videos in showing that
people of faith may understand their faith as such--a choice to believe in a
possible God beyond the known proven things--and be as thoughtful about under-
standing the practicalities, and honest about their research findings, as anyone.
Whether you end up choosing to have a faith in God or not, that's a better
approach.
