Our friend Living The Dream has written a wealth of his experiences when at Bethel -- all of them well told. I had a bit of spare time tonight and decided I would search for the ones I missed. Well, Google doesn't cut it. However, by going to his Topics Started pages they are all there. Help yourself.

I like this series ALOT. For me, it has been soo refreshing to hear someone's memories that are just interesting memories that we can all easily relate to. No ill-will. No anomosity. No 'Evil GB'. No serious bashing of past or present JW (well, maybe there was one - but that just adds to the credibility!).

I think the writer neutralizes some of my own memories and that allows me to put things in better perspective and heal without completely villifying the people who played such a big part in my life for 25 years.

I would really, really like to hear about his own 'awakening' and how he managed to set aside his own 'cultic' (??) upbringing, rise above it, and create a happy, productive, professionally-successful life without anger and resentment.

I bet that would be an interesting tale as well.

And a good example for most of us.

I know he's mostly using this site as a place to 'park' his story. Hopefully he's finding the process as rewarding as we do!

    Hi AudeSapere,

I think the writer neutralizes some of my own memories and that allows me to put things in better perspective and heal without completely villifying the people who played such a big part in my life for 25 years.

That's my feelings, as well. And I hope when he gets done with this series he can do as you and I hope for -- his own awakening period. However, in retrospect, perhaps this series is exactly that. Perhaps these very experiences became his awakening.
