The title stands for "The End Of The World As We Know It." (All links were "unlinked" so you don't wind up in some goofy viral places.)
It's clear that there are all kinds of people with all kinds of theories.
From the-end.com:
The year 2008 marked the last of God’s warnings to mankind and the beginning in a countdown of the final three and one-half years of man’s self-rule that will end by May 27, 2012.
(a free download or book by order is available) This book is primarily directed to the people of the three major religions of the world (Islam, Judaism and Christianity), whose roots are in the God of Abraham. Ronald Weinland has been sent to all three.
wecanknow.com is one place that highlights Harold Camping's predictions. The math is just as goofy as an "obvious" poster here on JWN:
This web site serves as an introduction and portal to four faithful ministries which are teaching that WE CAN KNOW from the Bible alone that the date of the rapture of believers will take place on May 21, 2011 and that God will destroy this world on October 21, 2011.
Roderick C. Meredith of the Living Church of God (lcg.org and tomorrowsworld.org) was ordained by Herbert Armstrong of the Worldwide Church of God and continues to broadcast TEOTWAWKI within "a generation. He doesn't commit to a specific date but wrote in his church's magazine Tomorrow's World that the end of the world is near. He said that events prophesied in the Bible are "beginning to occur with increasing frequency....We are not talking about decades in the future. We are talking about Bible prophesies that will intensify within the next five to 15 years of your life." That is, from 2010 to 2020.
Isaiah Robertson predicts that Jesus' second coming will happen in Niagara Falls. He said: "Niagara Falls is a holy place, like Jerusalem. The sound of the water going over the falls is the voice of God." He expects that the water at the base of the falls will turn into a "lake of fire."
At http://static.cnhi.zope.net/flashpromo/niagaragazette/media/slideshows/070225_prophet_isaiah2/index.html he gives a basic explanation of this. While the website contains no dates, Robertson has previously been quoted to claim that Armageddon will start in the year 2011 and will continue until Christ's supposed return in 2014.
They go on and on. http://end-of-the-world.co.cc/index.php?page=1 lists tons of them that are coming soon.

The "Sword of God Brotherhood" believes that Armageddon will occur in 2017. The Prophet Gabriel has told them this. Only their own members will survive to repopulate the world. All of the others (including you and me) will "perish in hellfire." 4
Daniel's Timeline bases their calculation on the concept of Jubilee years which occur every 50 years. The most recent three Jubilees were:
- 1867 when the Jews were emancipated in Austria and Hungary.
- 1917 when the Ottomon rule ended and the Balfour Declaration was created.
- 1967 when the Six Day War occurred.
They predict that the next and final Jubilee year will be 2017 "the time of the restitution of all things."
I didn't even bother with the endless predictions for 2012. One prediction was that the end would come in 2011 on 11/11/11 just because of the repetition of the number 11, which cannot occur again until 3011, a thousand years from now, so it cannot wait that long.
http://www.religioustolerance.org/end_wrl1.htm lists 15 failed predicitions for just the year 2006.
